Mars Challenge is the first global innovation platform working in parallel for two environments: Earth and Mars.

We use the extreme challenges of inhabiting Mars as a catalyst to find solutions to improve life on our planet today.

Mars as a laboratory for Earth

Living on Mars would require solving extreme challenges:

Limited water and air.
Clean and self-sufficient energy.
Food production in confined spaces.
Waste management in a completely closed cycle.

Each of these challenges reflects problems we already face on Earth. By designing solutions for Mars, we are anticipating the future of our own planet and creating a bank of ideas and technologies ready to be applied here.
